Some say art tells a lot about the person who owns it. Some say music. I say BOOKS.
Ever wonder what NPRI (Nevada Policy Research Institute) has on it’s shelves?
You can always look on their facebook page that shows a shelf in their new office with the NPRI’s reading materials.
America’s Great Depression?
Market Theory and the Price System?
Principles of Economics?
The Road to Serfdom?
The Pure Theory of Capital?
Human Action – A Treatise of Economics?
I guess since they have attacked education so long and so hard during the last legislative session. . . I didn’t expect to see those titles. I thought they were supposed to be all about what is “best” for students? I thought they were into “education research”. Seems to me, this is all about money and how to attack people – not equitable and fair education.
There are many, many valid and respected journals full of actual, real education research that could be on those shelves if NPRI wanted a balanced and real perspective. CLEARLY – THEIR CHOICES SHOW THEIR INTENTIONS. There is no real research there. They don’t want fair and balanced; they want to harangue.
Who does NPRI intend to make a serf? Who is NPRI going to harangue?
I studied for an MBA and I don’t have those kinds of materials on my shelves. There are many economic books that have much more balanced opinions than this. There are books you can read about research and organization that don’t have harsh, aggressive titles.
Two books about the Great Depression? How to cause it maybe?
NPRI is all about destroying public education in this state. They are organized and direct. AND THEY DO HARANGUE!
